YUNNAN AUTHENTIC ADVENTURE HIKING

Visit of Green Lake and the Birds and Flowers market. This walk will lead you to the remaining old areas in Kunming. You will then enjoy a nice rest while relaxing in a tea house, where you will discover Yunnan pu'er tea and the tea ceremony that goes with the serving of it. At night, train (couchette) to Dali.

Your guide will welcome you at your arrival to Dali train station, and you will then be transferred to your hotel. Visit of the lively market of Shaping, followed by the visits of Shuanglang and Wase villages and « Putuo Island ». On the way back to Dali, stop at Zhoucheng village. Visit of Dali's illuminated old town in the evening.

Drive to Shaxi, with a stop at Xizhou village. At your arrival to Shaxi, we will visit the ancient site of Shibaoshan with its statues cut into the mountains, before walking down back to the village (30-40 min).

Visit of Shaxi's authentic village in the morning, and then we will star tour trek to Ma Ping Guan (??h), an isolated village in the mountains. Picnic on the way.

Visit of Ma Ping Guan village, then hike to Misha village (??) where the car will wait for you to transfer you to Lijiang.

Free day of discover of Lijiang traditionnal-style old town (with or without your guide).

Bicycle ride in the surrounding countryside of Lijiang to Yuhu village where you will spend the night in a family-owned guest house.

Hike to Wenhai (??h).
Hotel : Wenhai mountain village family-owned Ecolodge.

Visit of Wenhai village, and then transfert to the village where the famous Tiger Leaping gorge trek departs.

We will continue the trek down to the place where your private car will wait for you to transfer you to Shangri-La, a mountain city with a strong Tibetan culture.

Visit of the famous monastery of Shangri-La, before starting our long drive to the fabulous Meili mountains in high altitude (highest point: 4300m). On the way, you will enjoy a wonderful and unique view on various mountain landscape of the North of Yunnan, and stop at some Tibetan camps and villages.

Relaxing day in a village and an area where you can best enjoy the beauty of Meili mountains. You will be the witnesses of the enchanting sunrise and sunset. Visit of some Tibetan camps and villages according to your guide's suggestions.

Return to Shangri-La for your connecting flight to Kunming. Continuation of the visits in Kunming according to the time available before your international flight.
