EXPLORATION OF GUANGXI TOUR

Transfer directly to Yangshuo and visit this amazing small town strewn with karst peaks.

In the morning, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a moment of wellbeing thanks to a taichi lesson with Master Fu, who has been a world champion several times. The efforts will be rewarded with a lunch prepared with a variety of Yangshuo specialities such as the famous "beer fish". In the afternoon, you will enjoy Yangshuo's unique landscape with a bike trip through the countryside. You will feel as if you are cycling through the middle of a traditional Chinese painting. In the evening, we will go to the authentic village of Jinbao where you will have the unique opportunity to stay with a local Chinese family that we have personally selected, to help you learn even more about southern Chinese culture.

Day 3 includes a visit to a traditional Jinbao village to observe their ancient way of life and rural techniques. You will have the unique experience of being fully immersed in the village's life and farming activities. In the afternoon, you will go back to Yangshuo to experience a hot air balloon flight followed by Yangshuo's famous light show « Impressions Liu San Jie ».

Today, we will drive to the amazing rice terrace landscape of Longji, commonly called the "dragon's backbone" or "dragon's spine". You will find yourself in the heart of an amazing vista. One look and you will know why this stunning landscape has earned the name, "dragon's backbone." Later, you will visit the village of Huang Luo where you will meet Huang Luo women clad in brightly colored traditional clothes. These women are famous for their tradition of never cutting their beautiful black hair until their wedding day. Sometimes it is so long that it reaches all the way to the floor! After that, we will take a 30-40 min walk to Ping'an, a peaceful Zhuang village where you will stay overnight.

You will walk back through the village to meet your private car, and then drive to Wulingyuan, a magnificent natural reserve hosting Miao and Bai villages, on the frontier with Hunan.

Drive to the charming village of Sanjiang , a county town of the autonomous Dong region. Here, you will discover the majestic Wind and Rain bridge (more than 70m long) of the Chengyang village. Many consider this bridge to be the most beautiful bridge in southern China.

Today you will discover the historical village of Huangyao. This village, dating back to over 900 years ago, will strike you with its authenticity, charming houses and animated rural life.

Return to Guilin to catch a connection to Nanning, the pleasant green city bearing the title of Guangxi's capital.

Day 9 will consist of a visit to Yiling cave, located close to Zhuang culture park. Here you will have a chance to experience the unique aspects of this Chinese ethnic minority's autonomous region. In the evening, we will drive to Chongzuo.

Chongzuo is is home to a wonderful ecologic park, with a still unknown stone forest and an intriguing leaning pagoda. Nearby is the Huashan Zhuang village, nested in the heart of a beautiful flower filled landscape surrounded by dramatic karst peaks.

After visiting the Huashan village, we will head for the sumptuous Detian waterfall which shares a boarder with Vietnam. Detian is ranked as one of the largest waterfalls in the world, coming in just behind Niagra falls. The landscape surrounding the falls is green and lush - and is absolutely stunning! The air is filled with the powerful water streaming from the cascades that flow from China to Vietnam. Hiking in this incredible landscape will also allow you to see some remnants of the French presence in Vietnam.

You will end this trip at the seaside, in the town of Beihai, known for its beautiful beaches. Exploring the Weizhou volcanic island and diving in the clear Beihai water full of corals, will leave you with a wonderful memory of peace and tranquillity as you near the end of your trip. You will also have a chance to visit two impressive churches, a vestige of the French presence during the 19th century.

A visit to this amazing natural reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be the last activity on your Chinese adventure, before catching your connecting flight.
